Niagara Falls State Park

Hadn't been to Niagara Falls in at least 30 years so on a whin travels here with my daughter on a beautiful day in early Sepetember.  The crowds were almost non-existant so the time spent was relaxing.  Made a little side trip to the Canadian side, becuase even though you can get closer to the falls on the American side, the view is more impressive from Canada.  I think I read that less than 50% of the water actually goes over the falls these days.  The remainder is diverted to the power plant.  Would have liked to see it before the diversion.

Oh how times have changed.  The days of just walking accross the bridge, and maybe be asked to see the driver's license, is long passed and I'm not sure if it will ever return.

Is it just my imagination or were the falls higher when I was young?  :-)
