It was Labor Day weekend and Fall had arrived. I only spent a short time driving through the park but it was time well spent. I entered on the east side and exited out the south.
As luck would have it my camera batteries died shortly after entering the park so many of the early photos were taken with my trusty cell phone camera. Thank goodness for the Travel Ridge store. I will chalk it up to lessons learned and always carry spare batteries.
It snowed periodically throughout the day which just added to the beauty and majesty of the park. The highlight had to be coming across a bull elk just a short distance off the road. Just a magnificent animal.
