I managed to visit Seattle during one of the 6 days during the years when it was not raining. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Wish I had had time to take one of the ferries for a ride.
The Space Needle is always the place to start a visit to Seattle because you can get a bird's eye view of the city and make plans from there. I've been up the needle a few times but it is always an awe inspiring view. There is a Starbucks at the top of the needle. Who's guess that! A visit to the needle would not be complete without visiting the nearby dancing fountain. On warm days it is always full of small children playing among the water spouts. It can make you feel like a child again.
I can't find my photos but I did take time to visit Paul Allen's EMP and Science Fiction Museum. Both of them are worth the visit. The Jimmy Hendrix exhibit is the most famous part of the EMP but there are other exhibits worth your time.
The underground tour has changed significantly since my last visit and I'm not sure if it's worth the time and money anymore. Glad I saw it years ago.
