For our birthdays, John and I traveled to New York City for a long weekend! We left on Friday April 28th and came home on Sunday April 30th. On Friday night we took in a Yankees game (vs. Toronto Blue Jays). It was so awesome! I even had a happy birthday message posted on the centerfield scoreboard for my honey. Saturday we walked around the city and met up with his buddy Mike later that evening for some drinking. During the day we went to Central Park, Times Square, and up to F.A.O. Schwartz. While at F.A.O., John bought me a huge stuffed bear as my birthday gift. He is very soft and cuddly! Bernard (the bear) was the greatest gift ever. On Sunday we went and had breakfast and headed home. During the trip we made sure to eat lots of pizza and have a few much needed drinks! We even managed to wander down to our favorite pizza place near the WTC --- Steve's Pizza! That pizza made it worth the trip! We had a really good time. It made for a really good birthday weekend. I cannot wait until we go back in December for our annual trip. Hopefully we will make a day trip later this summer! Maybe we can convince John's brother Bob and his fiance' Kari to go with us!
